ADVENTURE COVE WATER PARK - WATER THEME PARK (GOLD AWARD)

The proposed Water Theme Park adopts a concept of creating a water-theme park set within a tropical rainforest, blending in with the existing natural vegetation and also to the surrounding landscape of the western zone of the resort. Play pools, pipelines and topsy turvy rides are set around the layout of a dense forest.

JUDGES' CITATION
Adventure Cove Water Park (Water Theme Park) makes the most of pre-existing landscape qualities. Through a scheme that positioned the adjacent forest as significant, it has laudably preserved and 'borrowed' of its greenery. With over 700 features plants including a selection of transplanted mature trees, the project shows excellent planting given the site's constraints. A multi-layered approach to plantings, inspired by the neighboring natural environment, creates a grand backdrop for the water park.
