Meet Qian Yu, the newest addition to our team. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the National University of Singapore, building upon her earlier Diploma in Landscape Architecture from Singapore Polytechnic.

Throughout her academic journey, Qian Yu developed a strong interest in creating thoughtful and inclusive landscapes that respond to the needs of communities and the natural environment. Her experience includes working on projects that explore ecological resilience, community engagement and the relationship between people, place and nature.

Qian Yu was part of the winning team for the 2025 Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation Student Design Competition, where the team developed a research-driven proposal addressing coastal resilience and climate change. She also co-designed “In Our Backyard”, a community landscape proposal for Ang Mo Kio that won a design competition organised by the Ang Mo Kio Town Council and the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects. The project was subsequently implemented and opened to residents in 2026.

Having recently joined Ortus, Qian Yu brings fresh perspectives and a keen interest in creating sustainable and meaningful landscapes. We look forward to seeing her grow within the team and contribute her creativity and ideas to our upcoming projects.
